The provincial government of Bataan shall now have a comprehensive health promotion plan for 11 municipalities and one city following the creation of “1Bataan Health Promotion Board.”

The Board was recently created through Provincial Ordinance No. 2, series of 2023 authored by Board Member Jomar L. Gaza and sponsored by Board Member Jorge S. Estanislao and Gaza himself.

Among the Board’s functions is to provide relevant policy directions to 11 municipalities and one city’s promotion boards.

It will likewise, formulate, identify, establish, sustain and execute priority programs, projects and activities related to the promotion of good health.

It will also provide recommendations to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan on the relevant policies and ordinances necessary to achieve the objectives of this Ordinance.
